Your Role
You will be responsible for selling to a variety of specific market opportunities to achieve new ‘business-to-business’ sales revenue targets within your assigned geographical territory.
You will be required to:
- Source and identify new business opportunities
- Generate interest at a senior level
- Secure meetings at a strategic/senior management level
- Generate revenue in-line with company expectations
- Manage, develop and renew existing client opportunities
Key Activities:
- Telephone prospects to research and secure meetings
- Source sufficient new business opportunities
- Conduct face-to-face meetings effectively to identify needs
- Identify and present suitable client solutions
- Develop and manage an effective sales plan in conjunction with Sales Manager
- Report and present to sales manager based on agreed KPIs
Required Background:
- B.S. Degree
- 2+ years post graduation work experience is preferred but not mandatory (see below)
- Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Strong communication and presentation skills
Ideal Candidates:
Can come out of a variety of type companies where they have at least 2 years of sales/work experience: business intelligence solutions, information technology & services, information providers/collection and delivery, market data vendors, market research providers, ad sales in radio/cable/print, software, other B2B types of solutions/services, stocks/financial services, etc. Common thread is that you are hungry to learn, grow, and succeed in your solutions sales career. Candidate can also be an Account Manager out of these companies with 1-2 years experience that is ready to move into a pure sales role. Candidates can also be recent college graduates that are hungry to start their sales career.
COMPENSATION
- Base ($50K) plus commissions- OTE 1st yr $100K-$125K+, 2nd yr $125K-$150K+, 3rd yr $150K+
- Uncapped commission
