Our client is a leading enterprise Software as a Service (SaaS) provider with headquarters in New York City is seeking a proactive salesperson to serve as one of the Company’s Regional Sales Managers based in New York City.
Their easy-to-use, web-based services are used by government agencies, universities, non-profit organizations and businesses in all industry categories (Consumer Goods, Education, Energy & Utilities, Financial Services, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Media & Publishing, Real Estate, Retail, Technology, Professional Services, Transportation) - including many of the Fortune 500, to ensure fast, effective, two-way communication in real-time—anywhere, anytime, regardless of location, device or connection.
Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on "self starter" who wants to be part of a dynamic, entrepreneurial work environment and assist with the Company’s plans to grow its business and presence in the region. They are looking for a bright and self-motivated sales professional with drive and determination, a talent for building relationships and closing new business, an eye for detail and the ability to handle many different personalities to be an integral part of their team.
Essential Responsibilities Include
- Initiating and developing sales leads and new business opportunities, and developing and maintaining effective business relationships and communications with potential customers.
- Penetrating new markets and applications where the Company does not have distribution.
- Finding and cultivating high quality sales prospects to generate new business.
- Time and territory management to increase sales penetration within the region, maximizing sales and revenue; develop and coordinate cost effective sales strategies to improve regional performance.
- Timely preparation and delivery of sales proposals and presentations to executives. Coordinating the signing of non-disclosure agreements and related record-keeping and updating and assembling other sales material and collateral.
- Follow through with the pre-sales administrative process, ensuring that the company’s sales funnel is accurate.
- Following contract management procedures and policies to assure contractual obligations are mutually understood and are met throughout the implementation of the service.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required, Business Degree preferred.
- 5+ years of previous experience and demonstrated success in some form of enterprise software and/or services based solutions, preferably with Software as a Service (SaaS) applications.
- Strong preference for self-sufficiency and some technical expertise in the SaaS model and notification services.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, ability to promote teamwork. Prior experience with sales tracking tools, such as Salesforce.com helpful.
- A history of opening new accounts, a "hunter” sales mentality.
- A history of career stability (at least 3 years per position held).
- Ability to remain level-headed in demanding situations.
- Ability to work independently in a remote working environment.
- Experience with enterprise sales and government sales preferred.
Compensation
Competitive Base Salary and Commission Structure plus stock options.
