Opportunity
In this highly visible role, the VP of Sales Midwest will be a key member of the company's executive sales team.
The VP of Sales Midwest will be responsible for the direction and management of all sales activities in their region. The VP of Sales, Midwest will drive Company’s achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals within the assigned territory.
Main Responsibilities
- Oversee hiring and development of the sales organization, appropriate for the territory's maturity/size.
- Develop and set the strategic direction required to meet and exceed sales quotas.
- Manage the sales pipeline to maximize revenue.
- Directly manage and develop Account Executives ensuring they are trained in the areas of sales pitches, direct and indirect competition, Company’s products and proper selling techniques.
- Ensure territory is generating a high volume of sales related activity including cold calling, presentations, RFPs, and closings.
- Work with sales team to cultivate relationships with clients, gain deep insight into their business and ultimately provide solutions to their marketing and advertising goals.
- Maintain key agency and direct marketer relationships and develop and implement strategies for expanding the company's customer base.
- Identify and penetrate new business targets and other sales growth opportunities.
- Provide regional sales plans, budgets, etc. as required.
- Recommend policies and procedures to enhance sales, marketing, and operations.
- Be a role model for the company's business values.
Desired Skills & Experience
- At least 7 years of experience in online advertising sales, marketing, media, and interactive.
- BA/BS degree minimum with a strong academic record.
- Must possess a strong working knowledge of the Digital Advertising space including display and mobile advertising.
- Solid knowledge of online and mobile ad networks, DSPs, behavioral targeting, Rich Media and optimization strategies.
- Current rolodex of top online advertisers and interactive ad agencies.
- Proven track record of revenue generation in online advertising sales.
- Already have established high level contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners in the digital agency and brand ecosystem.
- Highly motivated team lead who is able to direct and inspire a strong sales team.
- Ability to think quickly and develop, structure, negotiate, draft and maintain strategic partnerships, alliances, and relationships.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- Strong Proficiency in MS Office & Salesforce.com Software
- Have a deep understanding and ability to analyze marketing demographics, media buying, agency dynamics, client ROI and the overall advertising landscape.
Compensation
Competitive Base Salary and Aggressive Commission Structure/Overall Earnings Potential plus equity participation/stock options.
